Are you lost?

For many people that have graduated from university and are out in the workforce, life can be extremely difficult. You wake up some days and wonder = what the heck do I do now? A strong feeling of being lost overwhelms you.
I am sometimes envious of people that have a father with his own business that they can just easily join when they leave school. Everything is all set for these people. However, I remember that funny movie = My Big Fat Greek Wedding = with the family restaurant = those kids were not too happy about having to work in the restaurant. Both the son and the daughter wanted to do something else and they felt obligated to work at their father's restaurant. Obligations can really SUCK!
Other people seem to have piles of ambition. They know from the time they start school that they want to be a firefighter, doctor, nurse, etc.... They are focused and they know exactly what they want. They go after it and try to get it.
For the rest of us that don't have an easy meal ticket or ambitious goals in our heads, we have trouble trying to figure out what we want to do. We go from one job to another = either stressed out at the job or bored to tears at the job = never content with the job = always looking for something better = never figuring out what that better something is. You feel lost. Self-doubt starts to take a strong foothold inside you. You're not sure what to do with yourself.
I've had days like this = especially when my lotto ticket doesn't even have 1 stinking number from the Saturday drawing = not that money solves everything. However, money does give you a bit of a cushion. You can spend more time getting in touch with your inner self when your bills are paid. When your bills are not paid, you have to suck it up and work where ever you can.
For others that find themselves lost, all I can suggest is try to stay positive and keep an open mind. It's not the end of the world if you find yourself lost of this blasted road we all call LIFE. Things have a way of working out. Be patient.
P.S. Eat a cookie = like Sesame Street Cookie Monster = it will make you feel better.
Take care,
LK
