Just the basics - please!

These days even simple orders are coming out wrong. It is very frustrating. I'm someone who loves HAMBURGERS. I think that a hamburger is a simple meal that should not require a rocket scientist to fix.
However, I find that it is 50/50 obtaining this simple meal corrrectly at a restaurant. I like it without cheese. Which is why I say - "Hamburger!"
If I wanted a cheeseburger = I would have said = cheeseburger!
If they can't get something simple like a hamburger correct, then how can you expect more complicated orders to come out right?! Don't even get me started on the concept of = Well Done = trying to get meat with NO PINK is like trying to dig to China in your backyard = an impossible task!
Restaurants are often complaining about losing customers but they don't seem to understand why. It's not just about the increase in cost. It's not just about people being tight of money right now. People want good service! They want good food! These are simple concepts. Yet, restaurants are getting increasingly worse and worse every year that goes by.
I blame poor management. You have a manager that doesn't care = you will have a restaurant that will close its doors in a few years. It's up to the manager to make sure that the staff in the restaurant are both competent and efficient.
A recent example of a poor restaurant I went to over the weekend -
I had a waitress that was extremely inexperienced = overwhelmed because she had two tables to handle! I ordered a simple hamburger and fries = half an hour later = I received a cheeseburger and fries. Of course, I sent it back. Another half an hour goes by - I have nothing! All I get is excuses = large party in the restaurant was causing delays in the kitchen. In the end, I made them take it off my bill = paid for my drink & left. A really horrible experience that left me disgusted with the state of our restaurants. These chain restaurants are going down the toilet.
I've written reviews on Google to vent my anger but these incidents seem to happen more often than not. All I can suggest to those of you that have dealt with this - let the steam out and don't let it ruin your weekend.
Take care,
LK
