These days we all try to take care of many things on our plate. We try to juggle work, family life, and personal time. Unfortunately, if we are not careful, personal time becomes almost non-existent because of work and family time.

Work for most of us is at least 40 hours a week. Some are working even longer hours regularly. After work, we come home to our families and take care of them. Depending on how many kids you have = this can be as time consuming as your job. Some of us have issues at home that make it even more time consuming = difficulties with the spouse or child/children.

For myself, I include taking care of my retired parents = checking up on them and making sure that they are doing well at home. Neither of them wants to be in a nursing home. And I don't blame them! I volunteered in a nursing home for a few years and I walked away thinking = why do we treat our elderly SO BADLY!?!

The bottom line is that our personal time becomes shorter and shorter. This leads to a breakdown. You have to have time for yourself. It's important. Don't blow it off. Schedule in = Me Time = or you will regret it later in life.

I can't tell you how many times I've ran across someone who looked burnt out. I call them - Walking Toast! They've tried to spin so many plates that they've run themselves into the ground. It's the 20 years old woman who looks 50 years old = because life has burnt her out!

I took a break from work for a few weeks to work on my writing. I love to write. It helps me unwind. All my books are available on Amazon = laugh and be merry because tomorrow you might die!

Take care,

Lindsay Kennen
