Don't throw the Boomer out with the Bathtub!

Many people like to compare Boomers to the current generation that is roaming our streets. This new generation has a variety of ideas that conflict with the ideas of the Boomers. The new generation tends to think that the Boomers are out of fashion thinkers full of old ideas that no longer apply to the current world.

I'm not a Boomer but I find that I agree with the Boomer mentality more often than I agree with the new generation way of thinking.

Boomers are for standards and rules. This new generation wants you to accept everything and anything. I personally feel that no standards means no civilization. This new generation would NOT like it if we return to the Dark Ages. They are very reliant on the current civilization toys and gadgets.

Boomers are for marriage. This new generation is for moving in without marriage and having children outside of marriage. Both men and women are sleeping around like dogs in heat. Many women today have many children - all with different fathers. This means we have many children that do not have the stability of marriage. Children need stability. Without stability - you end up with a pack of savages that roam the streets damaging property and hurting people.

Boomers are for free speech. They spoke their minds. They voiced their opinions. Some of what they said was unpleasant or mean. For this reason, the new generation prefers that we do NOT speak our minds. The new generation is for censorship. The new generation wants you to say what is accepted. Otherwise, they will go after you and make you suffer.

Boomers also have a lot going for them. They have a history of hard working. They could fix a meal from scratch. They could make their own clothes. They knew how to fix things around the house. They could handle good times and bad times. Most people agree that the new generation would go into a deep depression if you took away the cell phones, computers and internet.

I know that each generation tends to frown on the next generation. I'm more than a little concerned about this new generation. Unemployment is high yet many companies are hiring. Does this mean that the new generation is refusing to work?

Each generation makes mistakes. The Boomers made a lot of mistakes. However, they did a lot of good. They were instrumental in creating the America that we all enjoy right now. I fear for America. This new generation makes me very nervous. We will have to see how things turn out. The death of the Boomers may be the death of America.
