Ten Commandments = No Amendments Allowed!

People these days want to take something and twist it to suit their needs. You see people rebooting movies, ideas, stories, etc... So many people want to mess with things to make them fit into the hole that they've created = you want a square peg to fit into a round hole = so you shave the peg till it fits.

I'm a Catholic and I find myself disgusted when I see people doing the same thing with the Ten Commandments. These rules are extremely simple. Yet, people keep trying to make them complicated. People keep adding their own amendments to the rules. They keep making their own interpretation.

Example = Thou shalt not kill = this is a very simple rule. Do not kill yourself and do not kill anyone else. Yet, people keep trying to make this complicated. You hear pro-choice people twisting this rule all the time. If your life is threatened, then it is okay to do what you need to do (aka take the life of your child to save your own life.) If you take a life, then you have committed a SIN! There is nothing complicated about this concept. Once you have committed a sin, then you have to go to GOD and beg for forgiveness. He is the only one who can forgive you. If you don't accept that you've done something wrong, then you will never be forgiven.

We live in a world that constantly wants to justify everything. Whatever you do is okay as long as you justify it. It doesn't work like this if you are a religious person. If you truly believe, then you KNOW that you can't talk your way out of damnation.

We all have a choice. That is the gift that GOD gave us. We have free will. It is your choice to follow the Ten Commandments or not. Like with all choices you make, you will also have to deal with the consequences of your choices.

My faith makes me strong, confident, and happy. I do my best to follow the Ten Commandments to the best of my ability. I know that I am a sinner and I often go to GOD for forgiveness. He is always there for me and he always takes care of me. I never make excuses to GOD. If I've screwed up, I admit it. I don't justify it.

If your faith is like mine = pure and simple = then you will understand what I am saying.
