Nostalgia for the Classics

I was watching the other day a classic horror movie. I love the classics. I grew up watching = Nightmare on Elm Street. It is so much fun to watch the old movies. No green screens. No cell phones. No political correctness.

I would take a movie full of cigarette smoking idiots to the current garbage that is coming to the the theaters these days. I liked the old style of having a real monster coming after you. Even the old Friday the 13th movies are better than the crap they are coming out with these days. I love watching Jason slaughtering stupid teenage idiots that can't seem to run fast enough even though Jason is moving slower than a zombie.

The only time I like a current movie is if it is done in the style of the old movies. I was watching = Wrong Turn = and it was excellent. Nothing like having a deranged, mutated redneck chasing after you in the woods with a sharp, bloody weapon. It makes your blood pump watching these kinds of movies.

The green screen crap that has taken over the movie industry needs to go. Everybody knows it is FAKE. The actor is pretending something is there that isn't. I'd rather watch popcorn pop in my microwave than watch these kinds of movies.

No wonder everyone is rebooting the old classics. They were the best. Unfortunately, these blasted reboots stink like old diapers.

Take care,

Lindsay Kennen
